Fellowship History
تاريخُنا
On October 7 & 8, 2004, during the first Arabic Pastor's Forum, about fifteen ministers to the Arabs met at Maranatha Chaple in Evergreen, IL. This group's vision was to pioneer a Fellowship for Arabic Pentecostal ministers, and provide them with a network of resources that would increase their effectiveness in spreading the Gospel.
On August 2, 2005 we held a second meeting at First Assembly of God in Aurora, CO to establish an official foundation as an Assemblies of God Ethnic Fellowship.
On October 27, 2005 we met again in at Maranatha Chaple in Evergreen, IL. On that day the Arabic Assemblies of God Fellowship, USA was birthed. Praise the Lord! During the meeting, Rev. George Rafidi was elected to be the Fellowship's first President, Rev. Alex Hanna was elected the first Vice President and Dr. Monif Matouk was elected the first Secretary / Treasurer.
On August 11, 2006 we held the Fellowship's first annual business meeting at GlobalUniversity in Springfield, MO.
On August 9, 2007, we met during the 52nd General Council in Indianapolis, IN for the second annual business meeting for the AAGF. Rev. Joseph Habib was elected to continue the remaining 2 year term as the Secretary / Treasurer.
The AAGF held their third annual business meeting on June 13, 2008 at Fair Haven Assemblies of God in Dearborn Heights, MI.
Since then once a year the members of the Fellowship get together for a great time of fellowship and ministry as they hold the annual business meeting.
